Shipston Warm Hub

Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership in conjunction with the Medical Centre are hosting a dementia bus aimed at promoting awareness and support for people affected by Dementia and their carers.

The bus will be at the Warm Hub on the 19th October from 10am –12 noon and we welcome anyone who feels that they would like to participate. We are also lucky enough to have the frailty nurse from the medical centre attending. In fact, they will be running a drop-in clinic every third Thursday of the month so if you have any questions or concerns about your health or mobility, please come along and speak to the expert.

The Warm Hub is located at the Scout Hut, New St, Shipston-on-Stour CV36 4EW and runs each Thursday from 10am-12 noon. Alongside tea and coffee and a social space, each week we aim to have a workshop or organisation there to help with your health and wellbeing. The first Thursday, the focus will be on digital health, so if you have any questions relating to technology, someone will be on hand to help. The second Thursday, we have a cooking group where you can cook with Wendy. Places are limited so come early as it’s a first come first served basis. Lastly, on the fourth Thursday Shipston Home Nurses are kind enough to come and offer soup and bereavement support.

We are also very lucky to have Kate Henderson from Coventry and Warwickshire CDA who will be running a workshop on the 26th October focused on money matters. There will be three workshops in total, and if you are able to attend all three, CWCDA are offering a £25 Argos Voucher to you.

We would love to see some new faces to the Hub, it is available for all and is an amazing community initiative and a fun sociable atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you there.
